Mortgage Rates Going Up or Down?

Posted by Matt on 27. January 2009 12:00

Feds to lower rates?

The feds meet again on Wednesday and that could mean another drop in mortgage rates. Of course no one knows for sure, but that's what some economists expect. Obviously those wanting to buy a home or refinance an existing home loan are hoping interest rates will fall.

When is the best time to refinance?

best home mortgage loan rate If you're in the process of buying a house or refinancing, you may be thinking... Should I wait to see what happens? Again, we don't know for sure if rate will go down and rates won't stay low forever. The time to act is now. If you're waiting interest rates to drop ever more, you're playing with fire. Qualified individuals should be all over the current low interest rates opportunity.

Bad credit loans

What if you have bad credit? It's more difficult to get approved, but not impossible. Get any questionable credit items repaired, pay off overdue balances and then contact your lender.

Anyone shopping for the best home mortgage loan rate should check out the free services of LendingTree. You submit your application once and get multiple responses from lenders. They fight to give you the lowest rate because they know the other guy has your information as well.

So, there's optimism, but let's wait and see what happens.
